Phyllis Jean (Galentine) Perfetti, 75, of Blairsville, PA (Burrell Twp.) went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at her home surrounded by family and friends.A daughter of James A. Galentine Sr. and Eleanor C. (Clifford) Galentine, she was born November 28, 1934 in Indiana, PA.She was a member of SS. Simon and Jude Church and very active in church activities. Also a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Theresa #562, Angels of Compassion and the First Friday Group.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.Survived by her husband of 58 years, John D. Perfetti; 8 children, John A. Perfetti, wife Valarie of Lucernemines, Joseph P. Perfetti of Blairsville, Julie A. Tegethoff, husband Eric of Indiana, Christina M. Wiggins, husband Barri of Shelocta, Michael A. Perfetti, wife Paula of Indiana, Sylvia C. Steeves, husband Clifford of Blairsville, Patricia S. Carnahan, husband Mark of Avondale, AZ and Andrea J. Crusan, husband Michael of Greensburg; 17 grandchildren, John David Perfetti, wife Marcie, Melanie S. Popson, husband Michael, Luke Perfetti, Jillian Perfetti, William Tegethoff, wife Mary Kathryne, James Tegethoff, David Tegethoff, Erica Tegethoff, Stephen Tegethoff, Jennifer Jones, husband Jason, Alicia Ryan, husband Michael, Celeste Steeves, Stephanie Steeves, Chandler Crusan, Wyatt Crusan, Anthony Crusan, and Giulia Crusan; 7 great-grandchildren, Andrew Perfetti, Ashton Perfetti, and Ava Perfetti, Gavin Steeves, Brennan Ryan, Neva Polito, Jaelynn Tegethoff; 3 sisters, Joan "Ann' Ferra, husband Robert of Creekside, Alice "Ginny' Ferra, husband Rosar of Homer City, and Ruth "Louise' Baird of CA; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James "Sonny' Galentine, Jr. and David P. Galentine; 3 grandchildren, Melissa Perfetti, Angelina Crusan, and Landon Crusan.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M. at SS. Simon and Jude Church, Blairsville, with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Sunday at 3:00 P.M.Interment will be in SS. Simon and Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
