Marceline P. (Reid) Palmer, 81, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, April 23, 2010 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of James T. Reid and Ruth H. (Greene) Reid Quick, she was born December 9, 1928 in Tide, PA.Mrs. Palmer was a former member of the Assembly of God Church, Blairsville.She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen S. Snell of Blairsville; three grandchildren, Glenn Yockey, Marceline Snell and John Snell II; two brothers, James Reid and his wife, Linda of Fort Myers, FL and Russell Quick and his wife, Kathy of Blairsville; three sisters, Clara Frampton and her husband, Chuck of Dover, Ohio; Ruth Reeger and her husband, Warren of Coral and Louella McCachren and her husband, John of Montville, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, William Quick; her husband, Grant E. Palmer on September 10, 1999; two brothers, William Reid and John Reid; a sister, Marian Garvin; two step-brothers, Kenneth Quick and Charles Quick.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Fritz officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery.
