Carol Louise (Jones) Kalyan, 67, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Earl Jones and Helen F. (Smith) Jones Falcone, she was born April 16, 1943 in Strangford, PA.Mrs. Kalyan was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville and worked as a LPN for Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.She liked to play bingo, travel and crossword puzzles.Surviving are her mother, Helen F. Falcone of Blairsville (Strangford); a daughter, Sherry A. Buonopane of Harrisburg; sister, Kimberly Alamo and her husband, Max of Blairsville; two step-brothers, Daniel Falcone Jr. and his wife, Judy of Murrysville and Gary Falcone and his wife, Tina of Blairsville; step-sister, Diane Olson of Kittanning; two brothers-in-law, Edward F. Kalyan Sr. and his wife, Sharon of Pottsville and Ronald P. Kalyan Sr. and his wife, Diane of Shenandoah.She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Jones; stepfather, Daniel Falcone Sr. and her husband, George M. Kalyan in 1992.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake Service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Thursday. The family will also receive friends at the Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville, PA on Saturday from 9 to 10 A.M. where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M.Interment will be in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Cemetery, Mahanoy City, PA Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Boulevard, Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
