Metro Zagrodnichek, Jr., 73, of Punxsutawney, PA formerly of McIntyre, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital, Punxsutawney.A son of Metro Zagrodnichek, Sr. and Mary (Suwolich) Zagrodnichek, he was born November 5, 1936 in Iselin.Junior was known by his friends and neighbors as "Jr. Buttons" because of his ability to play the harmonica, accordion and button box. Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth "Tootsie" Herrmann and her husband, Eugene of Maple Heights, OH; several nieces and nephews, including two caring nephews, William R. Zagrodnichek and his wife, Lois of Clarksburg and Joseph Soucek of Brimfield, OH; several great and great-great nieces and nephews and a special friend, Melita Kissal of Punxsutawney. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William and John Zagrodnichek and a sister, Ann Soucek.The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Fr.
