Frank Andrew Pavelchick, 91, of Jamestown, PA formerly of Palmerton passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville, PA.The son of Andrew Pavelchick Sr. and Julia M. (Nadzody) Pavelchick, he was born January 29, 1919 in Coral, PA.Mr. Pavelchick was of the Catholic faith.He lived most of his life in the Black Lick area before moving to Jamestown 10 years ago and worked as a trackman for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Surviving are daughters, Doris Hartzell and her husband, Bob of Jamestown and Helen Glance and her husband, Wayne Sr. of Black Lick; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Steve Pavelchick and his wife, Norma of Brush Valley and John Pavelchick and his wife, Thelma of Derry; two half-brothers, George Saliga and his wife, Sandy of Blairsville and Richard Saliga and his wife, Pat of Blairsville; a sister, Martha Hill and her husband, Ed of Rochester Mills and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Eva (Burda) Pavelchick on April 22, 2009; a son, Ernest Paul Pavelchick on August 4, 1962; three brothers, Adam Pavelchick, Thomas Pavelchick and Andrew Pavelchick Jr.; half brother, Michael Saliga and three sisters, Mary Edwards, Victoria McCurdy and Ann Pazskow.Private visitation and a Prayer service with Fr. Chester J. Raimer officiating will be held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
