Josephine "Josie" Nowinsky, 95, of Dunnellon, FL, formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Hampton Manor Hospice Center, Dunnellon, FL.The daughter of John and Sophia (Dickton) Nowinsky, she was born July 9, 1914 in Colver, PA.Josie was a member of the Blairsville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and Dunnellon, FL Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.She loved to spend time with her sister, Sophie (Nowinsky) Cramer. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a meat processor at A&P, Latrobe.She is survived by two sisters, Viola (Nowinsky) Phillipi of Boston, MA formerly of Jeannette and Sophie (Nowinsky) Cramer of Yorktown, VA formerly of Blairsville; three nieces, Kathleen Nowinsky of Dunnellon, FL; Karen Nowinsky of Dunnellon, FL and Shari (Cramer) Berger and her husband, Glenn and their daughter, Lisa of Monroeville; two nephews, George Nowinsky of Murrysville and Elliott Cramer and his wife, Cheryl and their son, Noah of Yorktown, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Elsie Romansky of Winter Park, FL and two brothers, John R. Nowinsky and Edward "Eddy" Nowinsky of Blairsville.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA with Mr. K.
