Gerald R. "Jerry" Marshall, 71, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana.He was born July 10, 1938 in Indiana, PA.Mr. Marshall was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Church, Blairsville, Promise Keepers and the Historical Society of the Blairsville Area. He enjoyed bowling on different leagues, loved to watch Bobcat and IUP sports and played on the first little league team in Blairsville.He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1957 and worked as a break operator for FMC in Blairsville and Homer City, retiring in 1995.Surviving are his wife, Daunise (McDermott) Marshall, whom he married on December 21, 1968; three daughters, Jennifer Marshall of Blairsville; Kimberly Buhler of Reigelwood, NC and Marie Miller and her husband, Robert of Blairsville; four grandchildren, Matthew Yeager Jr., Emily Skipper, Steven Skipper and Hannah Miller; half-brothers, David Blough of Vienna, OH, John Blough of Sharon and Ron Blough of Sharon; half-sisters, Florence Miller of Sharon and Ruth Ann Ronci of Masury, OH.He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Marshall, half-brothers, Harry Wilson, James Marshall and Mahlon Blough; sisters, Emma Lou Kanurick, Alta Carney; infant sister, Edna Marshall and half-sister, Florence Blough.The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. Saturday and from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. Sunday in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Blairsville, PA with Rev. John McMannus officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
