James S. "Speedy" DePetris, 73, of Indiana, PA passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009 in the Hillsdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hillsdale, PAThe son of Paul and Esther (Gramaglia) DePetris, he was born September 15, 1936 in White Twp., PA.Speedy was an avid Blairsville sports fan for the past 50 years. He followed the Bobcats wherever they played no matter how far he had to travel. He was always there to watch and cheer on his favorite team "The Bobcats". Blairsville lost one of its greatest fans.He worked as a barber.Surviving are his wife, Crystal (Perry) DePetris of Indiana; a son, Jimmy W. DePetris of Cape Coral, Florida; three daughters, Gloria Ayres and her husband, Tom; Tracey DePetris and Brenda Gilley and her husband, Jesse all of Collinsville, VA; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sally Johnston in 2001.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Rusty McClurg officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
