Harold Dean Strong, 70, formerly of Homer City, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PAThe son of T. Earl and Virginia Marie (Barnhart) Strong, he was born October 20, 1939 in Indiana, PA.Mr. Strong was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Indiana.He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1957 and worked on the family farm his entire life.Surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia (Brady) Strong in 1998; a son, Tracy in 1996 and a sister, Joyce Strong in 1944.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA with Rev. Robert W. Goossen officiating.Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church, 1470 Bethel Church Road, Indiana, PA 15701.
