Mary Hazel Ewing, 91, of Blairsville, formerly of Black Lick, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2009 at the Loyalhanna Care Center in Latrobe.The daughter of Elmer R. and Maude E. (Bergman) Ewing, she was born June 26, 1918 in Livermore, PA.Mary was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Blairsville and worked as a food service supervisor at Torrance State Hospital, retiring in 1979.She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank, Jay, Norman, Lawrence and Roy Ewing and sisters, Carrie Dixon, Ann Wetzel, Gladys Jones and Helen Barnhart.Friends may call from 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Lewisville, PA.
