Ray Douglas Clawson, Sr., 49, of Clarksburg, PA passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at his home.The son of Roy N. and Alice D. (Coffman) Clawson, he was born July 21, 1960 in Latrobe, PA.Mr. Clawson was a member of the Covenant Way Church, Indiana, PA.He graduated from Saltsburg High School in 1978 and worked on the family farm his entire life.Surviving are a son, Ray D. Clawson, Jr. of McIntyre; two daughters, Angela Morcheid and her husband, Peter of Spring Church and Mary Brooke of Saltsburg; three grandchildren, Grace, Nathan and Elijah Morcheid; fiancée, Vicky Fritz of Blairsville; brother, Neil Clawson of Clarksburg; six sisters, Mary Aultman and her husband, Mike of Apollo; Cathy Libengood and her husband, John of Apollo; Ruth Swindell and her husband, Terry of New Alexandria; Gail Petho and her husband, Rich of Avonmore; Debbie Bressler of Clarksburg and Robin Clawson of Blairsville and many cousins, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ronald, Donny and Frankie Clawson.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Rick Fritz officiating.Interment will be private.
