Joseph Gray Trimble, 82, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at his home.The son of Charles and Lelia (Gray) Trimble, he was born October 11, 1927 in Gray Station, PA.Mr. Trimble was a member of VFW Post #5821 and BPOE #406, both of Blairsville.He was a veteran of the Army, having served during World War II.He was employed by Conrail for 38 years, retiring in 1988.Surviving are two daughters, Donna Jo Seremet and her husband, Joe of Leonardtown, MD and Debra Joanne Delfosse and her husband, William of Norfolk, VA; five grandchildren; Jason Delfosse, Carrie Newman, Amy Ashley, Matthew Seremet and Sean Seremet; three great grandchildren, Lorelai Newman, Emma Ashley and Madison Ashley; two sisters, Edna Hill and Doris Masker, both of CaliforniaHe was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Trimble; sisters, Sarah Trimble and Muriel Short.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 P.M. Thursday in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home.Interment will be private.
