Willis Hunter Cunkelman, 77, of Blairsville, PA (Black Lick Twp.) passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at his home.The son of John G. and Bertha (Taylor) Cunkelman, he was born May 14, 1932 in Black Lick Twp., PA.Mr. Cunkelman lived most of his life in Black Lick Twp. where he was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church.He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1951 and worked for Blairsville Westinghouse, retiring in June 1994 after 33 years.He was a veteran of the US Army.Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Jacquelyn (McCrea) Cunkelman; seven children, Daniel D. Cunkelman and his wife, Marcy of Clarksburg; Catherine L. Ravenscroft and her husband, Warren of Saltsburg; Willis Dean Cunkelman of Alaska; Donald H. Cunkelman and his wife, Bonnie of Shelocta and her daughter, Janice; James D. Cunkelman and his wife, Jodi of Blairsville; Jerry D. Cunkelman of Blairsville; and Jonathan D. Cunkelman and his wife, Sheri of Homer City; 12 grandchildren, Dana Lee Cunkelman, Ryan Ravenscroft and his wife, Courtney, Aaron Ravenscroft and his wife, Jennifer, Jillian Ravenscroft, Lucas Cunkelman, Jessie Cunkelman, Matthew Cunkelman, Brandon Cunkelman, Emily Cunkelman, Kerri Cunkelman, Ally Cunkelman and Samuel Cunkelman; three great-grandchildren, Kate, Benjamin and Jack Ravenscroft; six siblings, Ralph Cunkelman and his wife, Kathy of Washington state; Walter Cunkelman of Clarksburg; Bertha McConnaughey and her husband, Harold of Blairsville; Oliver Cunkelman and his wife, Susan of Homer City; Paul Cunkelman and his wife, Sally of Blairsville and Sally Weatherford and her husband, Luther of Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and six siblings, William John, David, George, Ruth and Earl.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 P.M. in the Hopewell United Methodist Church, Black Lick, Twp. with Rev. Brett M.
