Paul Clifford Libengood, 89, of Blairsville, PA (Indiana Co.) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the home of his son, Paul "Bud" Libengood, Greensburg, PA.The son of Robert O. and Julia (Barclay) Libengood, he was born November 6, 1919 in Blairsville.Mr. Libengood was a member of the Black Lick United Methodist Church and the Mountain View Squares. He was an avid golfer.He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in World War II.He worked for FMC, Homer City for 33 years, retiring in 1984.Surviving are two sons, Paul L. "Bud" Libengood and his wife, Sandra of Greensburg and Ronald S. Libengood and his wife, Sandra of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, E. Marie (Bennett) Libengood on May 6, 2006; three brothers, Blaine, Robert and Pete Libengood; eight sisters, Florence Dodson, Elva McBurney, Ethel Libengood, Ora Mae Blystone, Nancy Sloan, Clara Jean Cornell, Helen Mankamer and Alice Ray.The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Brett Dinger officiating.Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the Black Lick United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 435, Black Lick, PA 15716.
