Betty (Frederic) Bergman, 87, of Indiana, PA passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA.The daughter of William G. and Beulah (Yoder) Frederic, she was born May 28, 1922 in Kutztown, PA.Mrs. Bergman was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana, and the College Club.She graduated from Mansfield State Teachers College and taught home economics in the Lewistown School District.Surviving are two daughters, Susan Zylka and husband, Edwin of Mt. Pleasant and Margaret Gould and husband, Dana of Blairsville; three granddaughters, Susie Gould, Margaret House and Christina Suriano and two great grandchildren, Max and Isaac House.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence D. Bergman in 1988; two brothers, Percy and Harry Frederic and two sisters, Kathryn McBride and Madeline Ringler.The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Bradford Lauster officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
