Rose M. (Torquatto) Pellegrino, 88, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009 at Family Hospice, Mt. Lebanon, PA.The daughter of Ross and Elizabeth (Flora) Torquatto, she was born November 17, 1920 in Homer City, PA.Mrs. Pellegrino was of the catholic faith.She worked as a masseuse for the Greentree Spa.Surviving are five sons, John Pellegrino of Blairsville; Sam Pellegrino of Pittsburgh; Joseph Pellegrino and wife, Mary Jane of Blairsville; Dale Pellegrino of San Francisco, CA and Nicholas A. Pellegrino and wife, Mary of Providence, RI; six grandchildren; a brother, Nick Torquatto of Pittsburgh and a sister, Delores Boyko of Pittsburgh.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Pellegrino in 1991; a daughter, Rosemarie Brunner; a brother, Ross A. Torquatto and three sisters, Virginia Arddlino, Mary Zullo and Betty Mauro.The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Monday at SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church with Fr. James Torquato as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
