Robert Earl Cochran, 66, of Blairsville, PA (Blacklick Twp.) passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009 at his home.The son of James Paul and Mary M. (Stuchell) Cochran, he was born June 3, 1942 in Sewickley, PA.Mr. Cochran lived his entire life in Blacklick Twp.He was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, Center Twp. and was a Blacklick Twp. Supervisor.He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1960 and worked as a registered surveyor for 39 years.Surviving are three sons, Michael P. Cochran of Butler; David R. Cochran and wife, Terri of Blairsville and Brian T. Cochran of San Carlos, CA; a daughter, Laurie L. Cochran of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, D. Luke Cochran and Alexis Cochran; a brother, Richard Cochran and wife, Naomi of Blairsville and two sisters, Carolyn Good and husband, George of Homer City and Marilyn Cochran of Blairsville and a special friend, Kathy Fisher of Blairsville.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James I. Cochran in 2003.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Bethel Presbyterian Church, Center Twp., PA with Rev. Robert W. Goossen officiating.Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Center Twp.
