Richard L. "Dick" Harmon, 61, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 in Blacklick Twp., PA as the result of an automobile accident.The son of Leroy and Lula (Blystone) Harmon, he was born June 10, 1947 in Indiana, PA.Mr. Harmon was a member of the Tide Sportsmen's Club.He enjoyed hunting, stock car racing and going to camp.He was employed by Black Lick Stake Plant.Surviving are his wife, Ione E. (Shirley) Harmon whom he married on April 3, 1965; a son, Richard P. Harmon and special friend, Annette Landis of Josephine and a daughter, Becky Jo Anderson of Black Lick; five grandchildren, Frank Cochran, Dawn Cochran, Ralph Neiman, Richard L. Harmon and Eddie Landis; three great grandchildren and a sister, Nancy Murphy of Indiana.He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Cindy Sue Harmon.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Ken Brown officiating.Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
