Jenny A.(Merichko) Shearer, 76, of Derry, PA passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her home.The daughter of Michael and Julia (Guidas) Merichko, she was born April 26, 1932 in Derry Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA.Mrs. Shearer enjoyed being with her children and her grandchildren.She is survived by a son, Frank A. Shearer of Derry and a daughter, Debbie Campbell and husband, Danny of Derry; two granddaughters, Megan and Lauren Campbell; three brothers, Joe Merichko of Hayes, VA; George Merichko of New Alexandria and James Merichko of New Alexandria; a sister, Agnes Earhart of Phelan, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry A. Shearer in 1992; two brothers, Michael and Andrew Merichko; six sisters, Mary Hornock, Anna Faccen, Julie Chanosky, Margaret Earhart, Betty Fantini and Helen Costellic. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
