William Kenneth Holmes, Jr., 56, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA.The son of William K., Sr. and Betty D. (McClain) Holmes, he was born December 24, 1952 in Johnstown, PA.Mr. Holmes was a member of the LOOM and FOE, Indiana and ABATE of Indiana County.He loved riding his motorcycle.He was employed for 25 years as a maintenance supervisor for Cleveland Brothers, Indiana.Surviving are two children, Christina A. Walters of Springville, IN and Nora M. Holmes of Charlotte, NC; one grandchild, Felicity Walters; two brothers, James F. Holmes and wife, Ashley of Phoenixville and Thomas L. Holmes and wife, Brenda of Indiana; a half-brother, Herbert D. McClain of Schertz, TX and a sister, Margaret A. Kalp and husband, Bill of Kecksburg.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David M. Holmes in 2007.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
