Ted Z. Eaton, 86, of Clarksburg, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA.The son of Ralph M. and Edna (Eaton) Zerfoss, he was born February 11, 1923 in Somerset, PA.Mr. Eaton was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana.He graduated in 1943 from Warren Harding High School, Warren, OH and was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in World War II.He lived most of his life in Conemaugh Twp. where he was a farmer for 56 years.Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Ilene M. (Empfield) Eaton whom he married June 11, 1958; two sons, Donald I. Eaton of Ernest and Fred J. Eaton and wife, Conni of Clarksburg and a daughter, Mary Beth Ruehl and husband, Stewart of Hickory, NC; six grandchildren, Aaron, Tarah, Katie, Jacob, Marissa and Benjamin Eaton; and a sister, Louise Jones of Warren, OH.He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Ernest, Morris, Marion, James, Alva and George Zerfoss and five sisters, Ethel Shaulis, Mary Shaulis, Katherine Reynolds, Esther Taylor and Roberta Cornman.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev.
