Crawford "C.W." Williams Jr., 69, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.The son of Crawford Williams Sr. and Charlie Mae (Harris) Williams, he was born June 17, 1939 in Blairsville, PA.Mr. Williams was a member of the Church of God in Christ, Derry, and graduated from Derry Area High School in 1959.He was very active in his children's sporting events.Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed by Derry Westinghouse for 26 years.Surviving are his wife, D. Lavona (Steward) Williams, whom he married April 25, 1975; eight children, Raymond K. Chisolm and wife, Hollist of Marina, CA; Craig Chisolm of Pomona, CA; Robert Chisolm of Blairsville; Eddie Chisolm of Derry; James Williams and wife, Monica of Blairsville; Tracy Williams of Derry; Eric Williams of Pompano Beach, FL; and Angela Hazlip and husband, Andre of Blairsville; 21 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five sisters, Alberta Brown of Warren, OH; Bernice Stevens of Blairsville; Louise Hall of Blairsville; Betty Willis of Detroit, MI and Gladys Quinn of Blairsville and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charlie and Ernest Williams and a sister, Alvie Massey.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Church of God in Christ, Derry, PA with Rev. Derrick Johnson officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
