Sara E. (Busch) Smith, 90, of Batavia, NY passed away on February 27, 2009 in New York.The daughter of Bernard and Elsie (Moyer) Busch, she was born December 11, 1918 in Ridgeview, PA.Mrs. Smith loved sewing, doing crafts and playing scrabble.She retired from Duffy Mott Canning in Bergen, NY.Surviving are five children, Fredrick Smith of Blairsville; Roger Smith and wife, Gloria of Batavia, NY; Herbert Gray of Rochester, NY; Beverly Dilcher and husband, Dayton of Bergen, NY and Joyce Smith of Aliquippa, PA; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a brother, Fredrick Busch of AZ; five sisters, Blanche Horner of Robinson; Isabelle Chero of FL; Emma Erdos and husband, Emil of PA; Theresa Bisch of NJ and Eileen Fulmer of Batavia, NY; son-in-law, John "Jack" Bird of Elba, NY; daughter-in-law, Mildred Smith of Batavia, NY and a sister-in-law, Orea Busch.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd B. Smith in 2006; son, Pastor William F. Smith in 2007; daughter Connie Bird in 2004 and a grandson, Shawn Bird.A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A celebration of her life will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, West Wheatfield Twp., PA with Rev.
