Betty "Betty Boop" (Black) Redilla, 73, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at her home.The daughter of Leonard and Florence (Crawford) Black, she was born July 7, 1935 in New Florence, PA.Betty lived most of her life in New Florence before moving to Blairsville five years ago.She enjoyed spending time with her family, having cookouts, and playing bingo and cards.She worked as a caregiver.Surviving are two sons, Richard T. Burkett of Iowa and Rudolph P. Redilla Jr. and wife, Sarah of Blairsville; three daughters, Donna Hunt and husband, Gordon "Doots" of Blairsville; Vicki Taylor and husband, Robert of Bolivar and April Seigh and husband, Dave of Robinson; nine grandchildren, Rudolph Redilla III, Rick Redilla, Jeremy Burkett, Jason Redilla, Doug Taylor, Melissa Houser, Deanne Redilla, Darla Redilla and Sean Seigh; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Laskey of Elba, NY and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronny Joe Redilla in 1984; a brother, Raymond Black and two sisters, Jean Henderson and Lenora Durham.As per Betty's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.Private interment will be in Germany Lutheran Cemetery, West Wheatfield Twp., PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the National Lung Cancer Partnership, 222 N.
