Della Marie (Bernini) Guion, 85, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at her home.The daughter of Louis J. and Maria (Otelli) Bernini, she was born March 12, 1923 in Black Lick, PA.Mrs. Guion was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption, Coral, and the Christian Mothers Association.Surviving are a daughter, Marla Jo Guion, at home; two granddaughters, Jill Gastel and Jodi Gastel, both of Black Lick; a brother, Daniel Bernini and wife, Agnes of Blairsville and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mario R. Guion in 1986; a daughter, Nancy Gastel in 2002; three brothers, Pete, Guerino and Charles Bernini and three sisters, Inez Bernini, Nellie Brida and Mary Lou Olson.The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 A.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Prayer service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Assumption, Coral, with Fr. Terry Hercik as celebrant.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
