Elaine Celia (Cribbs) Rizza, 54, of Nevillewood, PA formerly of Black Lick, PA passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at The Baptist Home, Pittsburgh, PA.The daughter of Ralph B. and Elizabeth (Pondy) Cribbs, she was born August 5, 1954 in Indiana, PA.Elaine graduated from Blairsville High School in 1972 and from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a bachelor's degree. She received her law degree from Emory University School of Law, Atlanta, GA.She was the founder and president of The Rizza Group, Washington, PA. Elaine was a member of the American Bar Association and served on the Board of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, a group that had named her their 2003 Outstanding Women in Business.She enjoyed golfing, traveling and cooking.Surviving are a sister, Sheila Jorgenson and husband, Pete of Clarksburg; five nephews, Ben Cribbs of Exton; Sam Cribbs of Cornelius, NC; Rob, Jon and Dan Jorgenson, all of Clarksburg; two nieces, Bonnie Halle of Southampton, NJ and Lauren Cribbs of Cornelius, NC; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.She was preceded in death by her father in 1992, her mother in 2002 and a brother, Ralph Cribbs in 2003.The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. John McMannus officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice, 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.
