Jane S. (Sowers) Dunn, 88, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009 at her home.The daughter of Frank E. and Laura (Johnston) Sowers, she was born February 2, 1920 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.Mrs. Dunn graduated from Blairsville High School in 1937 and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville.She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Stiffler of Blairsville; a granddaughter, Laura Stiffler of Blairsville and a great grandson, Dominic DeGruttola.She was preceded on death by her parents; her husband, Robert Dunn on December 20, 2002 and a sister, Vella Sowers.There will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the Blairsville Public Library, 113 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.
