Helen M. (Kelly) Roy, 70, of Zelienople, PA formerly of Blairsville passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008 in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.The daughter of Joseph and Myrtle P. (Elwood) Kelly, she was born January 2, 1938 in Bolivar, PA.Mrs. Roy formerly attended the Free Methodist Church, Blairsville.Her children and grandchildren were the center of her life.Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Rozell and husband, Scott of Crafton and Tammy Fridley and husband, Barry of Evans City; two grandsons, Johnathon and Michael Rozell; a brother, James Kelly of California; three sisters, Dora Kelly and Mattie Ferretti, both of Blairsville and Mary Vincze of Latrobe.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Roy on August 15, 1987; four brothers, Melvin, Ronald, Harry and Jack and a sister, Betty Fleming.The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Jason L. McQueen officiating.Interment will be in theSS Simon & JudeCemetery, Blairsville.
