David William Stewart, 54, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, September 29, 2008 at his home.The son of George M. Stewart and Margaret L. (Winters) Stewart Werry, he was born December 13, 1953 in Wursburg, Germany.He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1972 and worked for Nickles Bakery in Blairsville and Punxsutawney for 15 years before becoming disabled.Surviving are his mother, Margaret L. "Peggy" Werry of Scottdale; a son, Ryan L. Stewart and wife, Kim of Robinson; a daughter, Danielle M. Stewart of Blairsville and a special friend, Dot Boyd.He was preceded in death by his father in 1986; a brother, Danny Stewart in 1983; maternal grandparents, Charles and Lauretta (Springer) Winters.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. William P. Wood officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.A special thanks to Sandra Cochran and Jim and Honey Fulmer for all their acts of kindness to David.
