Mary Margeret (Platt) Fritz, 73, of Blairsville, PA (Blacklick Twp.) passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the home of her son.The daughter of William W. and Marcella Mae (Snyder) Platt, she was born August 7, 1935 in Salina, PA.Mrs. Platt was a member of the Assembly of God, Blairsville.She enjoyed being at home with her children and grandchildren and working outside.Surviving are seven children, Jack W. Fritz and wife, Cathy of Blairsville; Mark Fritz and wife, Darla of Blairsville; Rev. Rick Fritz and wife, Rose of Homer City; Troy Fritz of Indiana; Chad Fritz and wife, Jennifer of Blairsville; Debra Kay Fritz and fiancé, Bobby Brown of Shelocta and Vicky Fritz of Blairsville; nine grandchildren; two brothers, James R. Platt and wife, Knoxine of Blairsville and Edward C. Platt and wife, Margie of Blairsville and a sister, Adelaide McConnell of Latrobe and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Fritz in 1987 and three brothers, William, Ralph and John Platt.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the funeral home with her son, Rev. Rick Fritz officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery.
