Raymond Dale Gill of Fredericksburg, VA passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg.The son of Dale and Elizabeth (Spires) Gill, he was born January 4, 1938 in Blairsville.Mr. Gill worked for A&P for many years and later for Hecht's Department Store.Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen Gill; a daughter, Kim Dietzen and husband, David of Bealeton, VA; two grandchildren, Bobby Dietzen and Casey Dietzen, both of Bealeton, VA and two brothers, Robert Gill of Blairsville and Walter Gill and wife, Shirley, of Blairsville.He was preceded in death by his parents.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Moser Funeral Home, Inc., Warrenton, VA where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday with Pastor William Hughes officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday in the Blairsville Cemetery with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Raymond Gill's name for cancer research to Penn State Milton S.
