Dora May(Walker) Clawson, 88, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) was lifted into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Burrell Twp., PA.The granddaughter of William Milton and Mary Inez (Armstrong) Daugherty, she was born May 19, 1920 in Bairdstown, where she lived all of her life.Mrs. Clawson was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville.She married William Dean Clawson on November 26, 1938.She was employed for a time at Torrance State Hospital.Dora took pride in her home and was an excellent baker. Her family and friends enjoyed her pies and cookies. She also enjoyed being outdoors and could be found tending her flowers or simply sitting on her swing watching the birds and enjoying the day.She had a special place in her heart for dogs and volunteered her time at the Four Footed Friends in Blairsville.She will be missed by her family and friends.Surviving are several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her husband on May 30, 1984.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home with Rev. Beverly J.
