Marian L. (Newhouse) Clark, 90, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the Bethlen Home, Ligonier, PA.The daughter of Albert and Laverne (Spiece) Newhouse, she was born June 10, 1918 in Blairsville, PAShe lived her entire life in Blairsville and graduated from Blairsville High School in 1936. Mrs. Clark, along with her husband, J.W. Clark founded Clark Metal Products in 1954.She was a member of the Blairsville First United Methodist Church, the Martha Circle of the church and the Historical Society of the Blairsville Area. Surviving are two sons, John "Jack" W. Clark Jr. and wife, Darlene of Charlottesville, VA and David A. Clark Sr. and wife, Mary Ann of Blairsville; five grandchildren, Jacquelyn Clark, Terri Perkins, Rob Clark, David A. Clark Jr. and Kristin Corrigan; four great grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Watson and husband, Bob of Blairsville; several nieces and nephews and a loving friend and companion, Tammy Losier.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John W. Clark Sr. on April 11, 2002 and a sister, Eleanor Thomas.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday and from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home with Rev. Terry Shaffer officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PAMemorial contributions may be made to the Blairsville First United Methodist Church or to the Historical Society of the Blairsville Area.
