Donald Eugene Muir, 61, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at his home.A son of David E. Muir Sr. and Dorothy G. Rosborough Muir, he was born February 17, 1947 in Blairsville, PA.Don graduated from Blairsville High School in 1965.He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Derry Rod and Gun Club and the F&J Bow and Gun Club.He worked in construction.Surviving are a son, Donald Peterson of Blairsville; three grandchildren; three brothers, James Muir of Blairsville; David Muir Jr. of DesMoines, Iowa and Robert Muir of St. Louis, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Derrick Muir in 2005.At Don's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
