Roxanna M. (Starry) Boarts Passarelli, 94, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008 at her home. The daughter of John E. and Bertha M. (McAdoo) Starry, she was born on January 14, 1914 in Josephine, PA.Mrs. Boarts was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Blairsville. She graduated from Indiana Normal School (IUP) in 1932 and was a teacher in Specialized & Elementary Education for 40 years for the Blairsville School District and was a member of the PSEA.Surviving are one son, Preston J. Boarts and wife Evelyn of Blairsville; daughter Bernice Trask and husband David of Blairsville; stepdaughters Mary Jane Strong and husband Wayne of Jamestown, NY, Judith Vining of Kennedy, NY, Norma Miller and husband Dale of Webster, NY, Christine Douglas of Johnstown, PA; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Roy Boarts in 1988, second husband John Passarelli in 1994, infant daughter Esther Miriam, brothers Wayne and Raymond Starry and sister Mildred Starry. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Free Methodist Church in Blairsville with Pastor Rusty McClurg and Rev. Charles O'Brien co-officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
