Jane (Pesci) Trimm, 89, of Indiana, PA formerly of New Florence, PA passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Carlo R. and Adelina (Martini) Pesci, she was born May 21, 1918 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Trimm was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville.She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1936 and from Indiana Normal School (IUP) in 1940 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She was an elementary education teacher for the United School District for 17 years, retiring in 1975.She enjoyed traveling with her husband and her catholic faith and her family were the important things in her life.Surviving are two sons, Thomas W. Trimm and wife, Patricia of Gibsonia, PA and James R. Trimm of Indiana, PA and a daughter, Elizabeth Koloshinsky and husband, Regis of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Melinda Zavolta, Ryan Trimm, Michael Trimm and Victoria Trimm and two great grandchildren, Lauren and Emily Zavolta and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William S. Trimm on March 4, 2007; seven brothers, Ernest, James, Louis, Herman, Joe, Joseph and Richard Pesci and four sisters, Eminia Dallara, Ellen Smith, Gemma Pesci and Perina Buzzelli.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake Service will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 100 West Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or to St. Andrew's Nursing and Rehab Center, 1155 Indian Springs Road, Indiana, PA 15701.
