Anna Mary (Fenton) Walters, 97, Latrobe, PA formerly of Carlisle passed away on Friday, December 7, 2007 at Green Meadows, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of Alonza and Ida (Summy) Fenton, she was born October 20, 1910 in Mt. Pleasant Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA.Mrs. Walters moved to Latrobe in June 2006 and was attending Latrobe United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle and a former member of the Carlisle Garden Club.She graduated from Hurst High School and Greensburg Business School. She worked as a secretary in the Westmoreland County Agricultural Agents office for 18 years and as a secretary for the Dean of Dickinson School of Law for 19 years.She married Samuel Walters on October 23, 1948 and moved to Carlisle. They traveled in 44 states and several foreign countries. Her hobbies were sewing and knitting and enjoying her nieces and nephews. Survived by a sister, Margaret "Peg" Aukerman of Latrobe; three nieces, Thelma Hoke, Peggy Osborne and Jean Lenhardt; four nephews, Eugene Fenton, Wade Fenton, David Ball and James Ball; four grand-nieces and four grand-nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel A. Walters; a brother, Lloyd Fenton; a sister, Ruth Ball and a grand-nephew, Douglas Ball.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Aimee W. Twigg officiating.Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle, PA.
