Virginia Ostach, 92, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Keeper of the Flame Morewood, Blairsville, PA.A daughter of Paul and Kathryn (Niemiec) Ostach, she was born August 10, 1915 in Palmerton, PA.She lived her entire life in the Black Lick area and was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA.Miss Ostach worked in food service for 35 years at Torrance State Hospital, retiring in 1975.Surviving are a sister, Stella Jubinski of Blairsville and 17 nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Victor, Joseph, Andrew and Rudy Ostach and a sister, Mary Bogdanski. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Friday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will follow in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
