Dorothy B. (Penn) Paouncic, 85 of Greensburg, PA formerly of Blairsville passed away on Monday, November 5, 2007 at Mountain View Specialty Care, Greensburg, PA.A daughter of Charles G. and Irene (Dunmire) Penn, she was born August 6, 1922 in Iselin, PA.Mrs. Paouncic lived most of her life in Blairsville.Surviving are a son, Gene Paouncic and wife, Gloria of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Melissa Young, Daniel Paouncic, Jennifer Evanick, Gene Paouncic Jr., David Paouncic and Michele Sousa; seven great grandchildren a stepsister, Geraldine Linsenbigler of Indiana.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stephen A Paouncic in 1976; two brothers, George Penn and John Penn; three sisters, Freda Gamble, Erma Telford and Mable Shaw; a stepbrother, Lawrence Dunmire and a stepsister, Susie Newhouse.The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
