Margaret L. (Kuhns) Cribbs, 96, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Howard W. and Mary E. (Slater) Kuhns, she was born June 3, 1911 in Sharpsburg, PA.Mrs. Cribbs lived her entire life in the Blairsville area and was a member of the Black Lick Presbyterian Church.Surviving are three children, a son, James D. Cribbs Jr. and wife, Caroll of Blairsville; two daughters, Mary Ellen Friedline of Blairsville and Dorothy J. Burkey of Indiana; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James D. Cribbs Sr. in 1984; infant twins, a baby girl and a baby boy, James Howard Cribbs; grandson, Jay R. Burkey; granddaughter, Angela Tomb; brother, Ivan Kuhns; sister, Dorothy Kuhns and a son-in-law, William T. Friedline.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. David Sallinger officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.Memorial contributions may be made to the Black Lick Presbyterian Church.
