Betty (Painter) Lukehart, 84, Latrobe, PA formerly of Blairsville passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of John A. and Alice (Stuchel) Painter, she was born December 18, 1922 in Saltsburg, PA.Mrs. Lukehart was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Blairsville, PA.She moved to Latrobe in March 2007 to live with her daughter.Surviving are a daughter, Betty Jean Sanfilippo and husband, Frank of Latrobe; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Painter of Indiana and Dean Painter of Blairsville; three sisters, Evelyn Walko of Mahaffey; Jane Sorbin of Clarksburg and Nancy Lombardo of Clarksburg.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, F. Eugene Lukehart on February 25, 2004; a son, Donald E. Lukehart in 1990; three brothers, Eugene, William and James Painter and a sister, Dorothy Painter.A private visitation and funeral service with Rev. John McMannus officiating will be held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
