Rudolph Ostach, 90, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the home of his sister, Stella Jubinski of Blairsville.A son of Paul and Kathryn (Niemiec) Ostach, he was born May 23, 1917 in Palmertown, PA.Mr. Ostach was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, and the Burrell Twp. Rod & Gun Club.He enjoyed hunting and fishing.Prior to his retirement, he worked for Derry Westinghouse.Surviving are two sisters, Virginia Ostach of Blairsville and Stella Jubinski of Blairsville and 17 nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Victor, Joseph and Andrew Ostach and a sister, Mary Bogdanski.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Friday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
