Donna Mae (Pifer) Rupert, 78, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, September 14, 2007 at Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, PAA daughter of Howard and Clara (Heltman) Pifer, she was born July 9, 1929 in Logansport, Indiana.Mrs. Rupert was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, where she was the organist for 50 years, member of the Nightengals singing group where she was the accompanist for 29 years and a former member of the Monday Night Music Club. She taught piano and organ lessons for 40 years.She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1947 and worked as a bookkeeper at Vale Tech for 20 years, retiring in 1989.Surviving are two sons, Randall C. Rupert and wife, Kathryn of Indiana; Keith F. Rupert and wife, Wanda of Blairsville; a daughter Laura C. Harper and husband, Stan of Blairsville; four grandchildren, Aaron Rupert, Bryan Rupert, Amy Potter and Sara Harvey and three great grandchildren, Jordan Hoover, Payton Potter and Nathan Potter.She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband, Merle Rupert in 1990; two brothers, Victor Pifer and Robert "Bud" Pifer and two sisters, Evadell Sebring and Laura Dobson. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.
