Rosina Grace (Francis) Nagy, 85, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana.A daughter of William P. and M. Grace (Warner) Francis, she was born June 4, 1922 in Wehrum, Cambria Co., PA.Mrs. Nagy was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville, for 75 years, member of the Daughters of Hebron and taught Sunday school for 50 years. Member of a knitting club, local bridge and shanghi clubs.She was active in the fundraising for the Blairsville Public Library and was one of the founders of the Historical Society of the Blairsville area.She was a fabulous cook and baker and loved to entertain family and friends at her home and traveled the world with her husband, Mike who preceded her in death.She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1939 and from Dubois Business College in 1940. She worked as a secretary for Westinghouse Specialty Metals, Blairsville, retiring in 1982.Surviving are a stepson, Robert M. Nagy of West Palm Beach, Florida; a step-grandson, David Nagy and wife, Fabienne of Paris France; two step-great grandchildren, Eugenie and Louise; brother, John W. Francis and wife, Virginia of Beaver; a sister, Jean (Francis) Beatty of Blairsville; five nieces and nephews, Marilyn A. Weigle of Peach Tree City, Georgia; Dr. Richard F. Beatty of Naples, Florida; David W. Francis of Canfield, Ohio; Dr. Randall L. Beatty of Sewickley and Wendy J. Beatty-Burg of North Wales; and a special friend, Charles Woods of Indiana.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Michael J. Nagy on October 18, 2002.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday and 12 to 2 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Beverly J. Banyay officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the Hebron Lutheran Church, 125 N. Liberty St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
