Anthony Joseph Gorzynski, 81, of Black Lick passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at his home.The son of Daniel J. and Jenny (Sedziak) Gorzynski, he was born May 10, 1926 in Erie, PA.Mr. Gorzynski was a member of the Homer City American Legion Post #493 for 23 years, Club Savoy, Homer City; Red Barn Sportsmen's Club and Graceton-Coral Sportsmen's Club.He was a US Army veteran of World War II.He worked as a truck driver for Teamsters Local #560, retiring in 1983.Surviving are a daughter, Betty Donahugh of Coral; two granddaughters, Brenda Graham and Deborah Morales; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; two sisters, Jean Crozier and Shirley Hoover, both of Erie.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eleanor Mae (Donahugh) Gorzynski on October 8, 2005; a stepson, Robert Clark in 1993; nine brothers, Robert, Edward, John, Richard, Ronald, James, Kenneth, Daniel and Frank and a sister, Candace Gorzynski.There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.Military services will be accorded by the American Legion Post #493, Homer City, PADonations may be made to the family.
