Philip Joseph Cravotta, 81, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.A son of Charles and Nicolene (Deforte) Cravotta, he was born June 15, 1926 in Black Lick. Mr. Cravotta was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Coral.He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army and worked at Westinghouse Specialty Metals, Blairsville, for 32 years.Surviving are his wife, Eva L. (Grassoni) Cravotta whom he married on August 1, 1954; three daughters, Denise Rowley and husband, Roy of Black Lick; Phyllis Cravotta of Blairsville and Yvonne Cravotta of Black Lick; two granddaughters, Felecia Rowley and Sarah Palmer; a brother Angelo Cravotta of Black Lick; two sisters, Josephine Distefano of Black Lick and Louise Wherman of Houtzdale and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be private and a private Prayer service will be held in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, with Monsignor Larry Kiniry officiating.Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Coral, PA.
