Richard G. Lawson, 71, of Coral, PA passed away on Monday, July 2, 2007 at his home.A son of Norman Lee and Anna Myrtle (McAdams) Lawson, he was born December 5, 1935 in Palmertown, PA.Mr. Lawson was a member of the Graceton-Coral Sportsmen's Club and the Red Barn Sportsmen's Club.He worked for 21 years as a truck driver for Center Twp., retiring in 1993.Surviving are his wife, Trudy (Marsh) Lawson whom he married on January 18, 1958; two sons, Richard L. "Stick" Lawson and wife, Jayleen of Coral and Jeffrey C. Lawson and wife, Brenda of Pine Flats; a daughter, Dianna Jackson and husband, David of Homer City; six grandchildren, Jason Lawson, Jennifer Lawson, Laci Rummel, Heather Jackson, Kaylin Lawson and Logan Lawson; three great grandchildren, Taylor Marie, Joshua Richard and Shawn Edward; a sister, Iva Jean Myers and husband, Edward of Derry and his best friend, his dog Dolly.His parents; six brothers, Robert, Norman, Raymond, Boyd, Carl and Darrell and four sisters, Martha Lawson, Erma Hoover, Mildred Kohuth and Anna Laure Lawson preceded him in death.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home with Pastors Ken and Wilda Brown and Pastor Cindy Rummel officiating.Interment will be in Luther Chapel Cemetery, Coral, PA.
