Theresa (Paniale) Lasinski, 93, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2007 at her home.She was born October 29, 1913 in Borgo D'Ale, Italy, a daughter of Joseph and Celestina (Pavetto) Paniale.Mrs. Lasinski was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, and the Italian Ladies Auxiliary.She was an avid baseball fan, especially the Pirates and followed her grandchildren's activities throughout their elementary, high school and college careers.She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.Prior to her retirement in 1969, she worked for Federal Laboratories, Tunnelton.Surviving are a son, Robert Lasinski and wife, Angie; two daughters, Shirley Flickinger and husband, Furgeson and Deborah Lutton and husband, Tim all of Blairsville; eight grandchildren, Renee Peterson and husband, Rob; John Flickinger and wife, Beth; Amanda Mosco and husband, Chad; Leanne Lutton; Greg Lasinski; Daniel Flickinger; Jennifer Lasinski and Sara Lutton; three great grandchildren, Nicolette Peterson and twins, Addison and Ella Mosco; a sister, Irma Brozick and husband, Frank of Blairsville.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John L. Lasinski in 1971; infant sons, Kenneth and John and a sister, Jane Laney in 2005.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Tuesday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday in the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
