William Earl Wheeler, 57, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at his home.A son of William H. and Ethel Belle (Bruner) Wheeler, he was born August 30, 1949 in White Twp., PA.Mr. Bruner was a member of the Indiana County Republican Committee and past president of Indiana County Republican Men's Club. He was chosen as Republican Men's Club man of the year in 2005, member of the Burrell Twp. library board and Friends of Library.He served as Burrell Twp. supervisor from 1992 to 1994 and served as the township tax assessor. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Wheeler had worked in food service at IUP and was working for Weaver Investigations, Murrysville, in security.Surviving are his wife, Susan D. (Henry) Wheeler whom he married on December 24, 1985 and a daughter, Codee P. Wheeler at home.He was preceded in death by his parents.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be private.
