Glenn Richard Adams, 80, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2007 in Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana.The son of Frank R. and Tillie C. (Tantlinger) Adams, he was born October 29, 1926 in Blairsville, PA.Mr. Adams lived his entire life in the Strangford and Blairsville area and was a member of the Bolivar American Legion.He was a US Navy veteran of WW II.He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 14 years and 27 years at Blairsville Machine Products, retiring in 1988.He is survived by a daughter, Donna Durant and husband, James of Blairsville and a stepdaughter, Karen Nesbit and husband, Jerry of Creekside; six grandchildren, Tracey Galasso, James C. Durant, Beth Huber, Jody London, Brenda Homan and Bret Nesbit; seven great grandchildren; Myles, Cameron, Madisyn, Jordan, Justin, Kira and Alex; a brother, Donald W. Adams of Harrisburg; two sisters, Ella Catherine Larkins of New Mexico and Mary Ann Lissie of Mechanicsburg, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Mae (Holby) Adams in 1992 and a brother Frank Adams.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home.Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, West Wheatfield Twp., PAMilitary services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and the American Legion #0407.
